About the Project

In my Merchandising Math and Spreadsheet Applications class (FMD 325QR), I conducted a case study that required me to apply merchandising concepts using Excel, particularly in relation to fashion buying. For this project, I analyzed raw data that included key profit components, sales dates, and units sold for a specific product. My task was to break down this information and translate it into actionable insights using pivot tables. I created three separate pivot tables, each highlighting different aspects of the data. By organizing and summarizing this data, I was able to identify trends and patterns that could inform future buying decisions and merchandising strategies.
